A cafe headed by Prafulla Billore, popularly known as MBA Chai Wala, is gearing up to open its branches in 200 Indian cities by the end of this year, creating more than 1,000 jobs.

Billor — who is a farmer's son — founded 'Mr. Billor Ahmedabad' MBA Chai Wala in 2017 after three consecutive failed attempts at the CAT exam. His goal was to get an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and get a job in a multinational corporation, but instead he opened a shop in a small tea pusher outside his dream college, IIM Ahmedabad. In Billor's words, “I also got admission in a local college under the pressure of my father, but within 12 days I left the college. This matter really upset my father. But I always wanted to create my own identity. The concept of this tea shop is completely unique. His brother Vivek Billow later joined MBA Chai Wala as co-founder in 2022.

Since 2021 the company has expanded to 100 major cities like Bhopal, Srinagar, Surat, Delhi. They are now planning to double this number this year In an effort to achieve this goal, they are currently opening 10-15 franchise stores on a monthly basis.

Each of these stores will be operated under the MBA Chai Walabrand name but will be financially managed by a franchise partner, who will also manage all investments going into the outlet. Currently the company charges Tk 20 lakh on annual basis for selling its franchise. Collected From Duranta Barta Jibon O Jibika
